Emory / Biographical Summary

Aisha is a Research Specialist in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. She is currently studying the role of antipsychotics in maternal to fetal drug transmission, occupancy, and clearance in the Neuropsychopharmacology Laboratory of Dr. Charles Nemeroff, M.D., Ph.D. and Dr. Mike Owens, Ph.D.

Aisha graduated from Parkview High School (Lilburn, GA) with honors in 2000. She later received a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN) in 2004 with a minor concentration in European History. She is fluent in German and plans to learn Arabic and Spanish in the spring. Her future career aspirations include attending medical school.

Aisha was born in Dothan, Alabama and spent sometime in Heidelberg, Germany before settling here in Atlanta, Georgia. She enjoys reading, traveling, the theatre, tennis, attending lectures, classical history, volunteering, shopping, and pilates.

Aisha Jennings is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and is a volunteer in the Emergency and Trauma Department of DeKalb Medical Center.
