Vani is a Research Specialist in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. She is currently working in different studies at the Neuropsychopharmacology Laboratory of Dr. Charles Nemeroff, M.D., Ph.D. and Dr. Mike Owens, Ph.D.
Vani received a B.S. in Biological Sciences, Medical Mode at UNISA - Santo Amaro University (Sao Paulo, Brazil) in 1986. In 1995, she attended graduate school to specialize in Clinical Analysis (Lato-Sensu). She is fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
Vani was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1998. She enjoys traveling and playing the viola. Some of the places she has visited include England, France, Egypt, Cyprus, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.
Vani is a member of the Atlanta Music Club and Atlanta Community Symphony Orchestra. She is married to Joseph Arcuragi and is the proud mother of one son.
