December 2010

I want to wish everyone an enjoyable holiday season and a productive and satisfying 2011.

This past month, people did a great job updating me on their accomplishments. And wow, do we have an impressive department. Next month, I would like to particularly highlight people’s service at the international/national, state/regional, and local/institutional levels. Please send me that information.

New Year’s is a time for reflecting on the past and looking forward to the coming year. It is a time to contemplate the changes we want or need to make and commit to follow through on those changes. I hope that everyone will enjoy life more, engage in self-care, spend more time with family and friends, learn something new, and set and reach their 2011 goals.

At this time of year I appreciate Harriet Tubman’s quote, “Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”

With warm wishes for the holiday season and New Year,
