The
Emory University Mind-Body Program
The
Emory University Mind-Body Program in the Department of Psychiatry
and Behavioral Sciences is a central resource for individuals
interested in clinical and basic science research on mind-body
interactions at Emory University. Visitors are invited to meet
Emory investigators who are engaged in mind-body research. Individuals
who are interested in participating in specific studies are
encouraged to review our ongoing clinical projects.

Laboratory
of Neuropsychopharmacology
The
primary goal of the Laboratory of Neuropsychopharmacology is
to understand the molecular basis of complex psychiatric diseases
including depression, anxiety disorders and schizophrenia with
a particular focus on neuropeptides. To address these issues,
we use a variety of behavioral, pharmacological and molecular
techniques.

Laboratory
of Personality and Psychopathology
The
Laboratory of Personality and Psychopathology at Emory University
is devoted to exploring links between personality, psychological
disorders, and treatment.

Emory
Clinical Neuroscience Research Unit (ECNRU)
We
are a research group funded by the National Institute of Health,
Veterans Administration, and private donations, foundations,
and industry. We perform research on the brain and neurobiological
correlates of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), major depression,
anxiety disorders and dissociation. Our mission is to understand
how stress affects the brain and leads to mental disorders,
and ways to translate this knowledge into new treatments.

Molecular
Neurobiology of Fear Lab
The
Ressler lab at Yerkes National Primate Research Center is focused
on the molecular and cellular mechanisms of fear learning and
the process of extinction of fear in mouse models. The primary
objective of the work in the Ressler lab is to utilize the power
of molecular genetics to understand the molecular biology, the
neural circuitry, and the behavioral biology of fear and extinction
of fear in mouse models.

Center For Position Emission Tomography: HRRT
Emory continues
its rapid development in research with the performance of the
first complete research O15 water study in human subjects using
a High Resolution Research Tomograph (HRRT).
